TR Logistics has expanded its European operations following the completion of a major acquisition in the Netherlands. It has acquired the logistics and warehousing operations of BG Freight Line, part of Peel Ports UK, at Rotterdam.

The BG operation has been integrated within Tracco BV, the existing TR Logistics subsidiary at the Dutch transport and freight hub. Tracco provides warehousing and logistics with a full groupage service. 

Mr Tommy Rodgers said: “This is a significant strategic development which strengthens our position in Rotterdam, Europe’s biggest distribution hub, and enables us to offer enhanced services to customers in Northern Ireland and from other markets. It provides greater scope for Northern Ireland companies seeking a cost-effective and efficient base from which to win more business on the continent."
